    THE JOY OF SIMPLICITY

Celebrating Leopold Mozart, who was born 300 years ago, the Țintea Muzicală Festival dedicates the 2019 edition to a time in the history of music that is known by its ideals of clarity and simplicity, expressed in the message of the works and their artistic language.
Instrumental and vocal works of the one who was mostly known later on to be the father of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart are surrounded by works written by his contemporaries, such as Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, Christoph Förster, and also by composers of the 20th and 21st centuries: Béla Bartók, Alfred Schnittke, Kurt Schwertsik, Serban Marcu, Adina Dumitrescu.
Duets for two violins form the focus of the 11th edition. Starting from the violin duets Leopold Mozart wrote for his violin method, the program makes a connection to the well-known musical miniatures by Béla Bartók and reaches Alfred Schnittke (Moz-Art) and Şerban Marcu.
