    ȚINTEA MUZICALĂ
International Music Festival for Classical and Contemporary Music

The aim of the Țintea Muzicală Festival is to invite audiences to rethink notions such as "contemporary - past, new - traditional" in music as well as to re-evaluate the social norms of the concert.

Celebrating Leopold Mozart, who was born 300 years ago, the Țintea Muzicală Festival dedicates the 2019 edition to a time in the history of music that is known by its ideals of clarity and simplicity, expressed in the message of the works and their artistic language.
Instrumental and vocal works of the one who was mostly known later on to be the father of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart are surrounded by works written by his contemporaries, such as Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, Christoph Förster, and also by composers of the 20th and 21st centuries: Béla Bartók, Alfred Schnittke, Kurt Schwertsik, Șerban Marcu, Adina Dumitrescu.
The #11 Țintea Muzicală Festival enjoys the presence of outstanding musicians from Austria and Romania: violinists Joanna Lewis and Raluca Stratulat, mezzosoprano Antonela Bârnat, french horn player Sorin Lupascu and pianist Otto Probst.
Fragments from the correspondence between father and son - Leopold and Wolfgang Amadeus - enrich the program.

We look forward to seeing you at Țintea Muzicală, 5-9 July 2019!
Adina Dumitrescu and Dana Cristina Probst
