ȚINTEAFEST Association founding member Adina Dumitrescu (b. 1964) completed her musical education in 1997 at the National University of Music from Bucarest, after she studied composition with Dan Dediu, Ștefan Niculescu and Aurel Stroe. In 2005 she got a PhD degree in Musicology, through the thesis

she lives in Finland, as a freelance composer. She received grants from many Finnish foundations and institutions. For 2012 she has an one year grant from Art Council of Finland.
Her works have been performed at Time of Music festival of Viitasaari, Hellerau Moderne Musik Dresden, Musiques démesurées in Clermont-Ferrand, Gaudeamus in Amsterdam, Festival Punto de Encuentro Asociacion de Musica Electroacustica de Espana, Aspekte-Salzburg, Voix du Prieuré and many others. Dumitrescu has got commissions from Aleph and Nomos ensembles (France), Ensemble Courage (Germany), kantele musicians Eva Alkula, Elisa Kerola and Madetoja Foundation (Finland), Clarino ensemble (Romania), London Shubert Players (England), among others. Her last recording was published and released in May 2014 at ALBA records, with Necklace for solo bass clarinet.
She is the author of projects developed around contemporary music: „HEL-VIE meno-paluu” -concerts and workshops of Austrian and Finnish contemporary music for flute and clarinet, „Țintea Muzicală” - International Music Festival of Classical and Contemporary Music in Țintea/ Băicoi, Romania, „The Sound Brâncuși” - multimedia landscape centered on the personality of Romanian sculptor Constantin Brâncuși.

Dana Cristina Probst

Dana Cristina Probst was born in Bucharest, Romania in 1961 and lives in Vienna, Austria since 1993. She studied composition with Anatol Vieru at the National University of Music of Bucharest (1984 – diploma with distinction) and with Michael Jarrell at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (1994-1995). to 1996 she was Assistant Professor at the National University of Music Bucharest in the department of composition and music theory. She received various prizes and awards including an ÖAD-Scholarship from the Austrian Agency for International Cooperation in Education and Research (1993-1994), the 2nd Prize of the International Composition Contest Aperto – 1999 und many awards from the Austrian Ministry of Arts, Culture and Education.
Her works are regularly performed and broadcasted in Austria, Romania, Germany, Danemark, Great Britain, Italy. Dana Cristina Probst lives as a freelance composer and piano, compostition and music theory teacher in Vienna. Since 2009 is she Managing Director of the Ţintea Muzicală international festival – Romania. Dana Probst also initiates and leads various projects which generally involve composers from many European countries, e.g. The Sound Brâncuşi – 2007, sur le nom de Haydn – klavier solo 6+6 – 2009-2010, Hel-Vie meno-paluu – 2011.

Sebastian Dumitrescu

Sebastian Dumitrescu (1989) lives in Finland since 2003. He is currently the vice-president of the young composers' association Ears Open. ...continuing
He studies composition at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki since 2007, first with Tapio Nevanlinna and then with Juhani Nuorvala. He has also studied electroacoustic composition with prof. Karlheinz Essl at mdw (Vienna). His works reveal an interest for jazz, microtonal music and electronic music. In August 2013 his work Fomalhaut for small orchestra was performed at the Ung Nordisk Musik festival in Oslo. Sebastian Dumitrescu has participated in composition workshops at Musiikin Aika festival in Viitasaari (2008, 2009), Finland, George Enescu International Festival in Bucharest (2011), and Esbjerg Ensemble composition workshop, Denmark (2012).back

Maria Magdalena Probst

Maria Magdalena Probst was born in Vienna in 1994. She received a musical education from an early age which lead her to attend the prestigious Musikgymnasium Wien. Her cello studies were completed in 2016, receiving a Diploma from the Joseph Haydn Conservatory in Eisenstadt, Austria, and a bachelor’s degree from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design, Bratislava, both in cello performance. She was simultaneously following her other passion, English and, in 2017, she completed her undergraduate degree in English and American Studies at the University of Vienna. Maria Magdalena Probst has been awarded various Erasmus scholarships, taking her to the Conservatory of Boulogne-Billancourt, France, and to Goldsmiths, University of London, where she is currently studying for her master’s degree in English literature.
